Aspire Relay Tracker

This year, we’ve recruited 10 influencers from all across the country to take part in our first ever Influencer Relay Challenge!

From lifestyle and parent bloggers to fitness lovers and foodies, our influencers are taking the challenge in their stride, and are determined to spread the word of the Aspire Channel Swim to their loyal followers. Completing 2.4 miles each, the Influencer Relay Team will finish the challenge together on the 4th December totting up the full 22 miles between them.

With influencers pledging their support from a number of different cities including London, Leeds Birmingham and even Glasgow – we’re excited to see how our ambassadors get on.

Please show our Aspire Influencer Relay Team your support by reading how they’re getting on via their individual platforms, cheering them on through social channels and of course, keeping track of them on our relay tracker below.

Best of luck to our Influencer Relay Team and all of you taking part in the challenge this year! #ACS2017

Brum Hour Birmingham

Dave Massey - I set up #BrumHour in December 2013, as a way to create a go-to destination for brummies to see what's going on in and around the city. I don't consider myself particularly sporty but do keep active walking aiming for 10,000 steps per day and taking part in this challenge will be a learning curve for me. I'm really looking forward to getting started, alongside Julie, and helping to raise awareness of spinal cord injuries.

I'll be swimming my 2.4 miles from 9th October - 6th November.

Brum Hour Cradley Heath

Julie Nicholsonb> - I'm lucky enough to be married to my best friend. We both moved from London to the West Midlands and I am now proud to call myself a Brummie.   I love food, cocktails, musical theatre and my two cats. I also write a regular column  for Brumhour, an online magazine promoting all that is great in Birmingham. I don't consider myself to be athletic in any way but I'm very excited to be taking part in the aspire challenge. I shall be doing my leg with my editor Dave.

I'll be swimming my 2.4 miles from 9th October - 6th November.

Em Talks Leeds

Based in Leeds, I'm a full time blogger and fitness lover. When I'm not creating YouTube videos for my loyal followers, you can find me in the local swimming pool completing my miles for Aspire. I've decided to join the influencer relay team this year as swimming has always been a big part of my life, and I'm glad that I can use my hobby to help raise awarness for those affected by a Spinal Cord Injury.

I'll be swimming my 2.4 miles from 11th September - 9th October.

The Everyday Man Glasgow

I started The Everyday Man back in 2012 as a platform to share the things I liked with the wider world.  Although I can admit I'm not a strong swimmer, I've taken on this challenge in the hope that I can spread the word of all the wonderful things Aspire are doing for those affected by a Spinal Cord Injury. I'll be taking the challenge a little at a time, and hope to improve my own health and fitness even more so along the way!

I'll be swimming my 2.4 miles from 11th September - 9th October.

A Mummy Too Nottingham

I'll be taking part in the Aspire Channel Swim for the first time this year.  I'm very excited to get on board with the challenge and I’m hoping some of my online community will join in too! Swimming isn’t my strongest suit, so I’m excited to take on the challenge and  determined to push myself to meet my targets over the next month!

I'll be swimming my 2.4 miles from 11th September - 9th October.

Father Fitness Durham

I’ve always been fit and active from an early age. It wasn’t until I hit 30 and my first child was born, I realised I had somehow become an unfit and unhealthy Dad. Something had to change and I created 'Father Fitness' to document and motivate me to do something about it. Fast forward a handful of years and I’m much fitter and healthier but I’m constantly faced with hurdles as other hard working Dads are. My blog has also developed over the years and I encourage getting kids out and active. I’m really excited to take part in this years Aspire Channel Swim. It going to be tough! I’m looking forward to the challenge and to raise awareness of Spinal Cord Injury through Aspire.

I'll be swimming my 2.4 miles from 9th October - 6th November.

Mutha Fitness Durham

I’m a 30 something Mum and in 2014 I had my moment. The moment I realised I wasn’t happy with my weight and needed to do something about it. I joined Weight Watchers and lost over two stone within six months. I found my love of healthy food and of fitness and in doing so, have kept the weight off for 3 years. I started Mutha Fitness as I wanted to share my story with other Mums and offer tips and advice on how to live a healthier lifestyle as well as keeping your kids active. I absolutely love swimming and am thrilled to be part of the Aspire Channel Swim relay team. The challenge will be tough and I think that fits well with a charity who help people living tough lives, suffering from spinal cord injury.

I'll be swimming my 2.4 miles from 9th October - 6th November.

Emmy's Mummy Waltham Abbey, Essex

I'm excited to kick-start the challenge. I've never completed a challenge like this before and knowing that it's for such a wonderful cause will give me the motivation and determination to complete my miles. I'm planning on taking the kids along too, to improve their technique, so it's great activity for the whole family to take part in.

I'll be swimming my 2.4 miles from 9th October - 6th November.

How Many Miles Carmichael Place, Glasgow

For anyone that follows my blog already, you will know that I have made a huge change to my lifestyle over the past few years and after once weighing in at 354lbs, I now use physical activity to add years to my life and life to my years. I enjoy exercising, it's become such a huge part of my life, so I'm very excited to get started with the Aspire Channel Swim and encourage my followers to join in with the challenge this year and keep me updated with how you're getting on!

I'll be swimming my 2.4 miles from 6th November - 4th December.

Lucie Loves Eltham, London

I must be honest, my swim game could definitely be better but I'm so excited to be part of the Aspire influencer relay team raising money for those affected by spinal cord injuries. Before I agreed to take part in the channel swim, I never knew that every 8 hours someone is paralysed by a Spinal Cord Injury and so for me, taking part in this challenge, is helping those in any way possible. If I can do it, you can too - so please sign up today!
